Since 1998, Emanci Language Institute (ELI) is one of the most diverse and proficient language schools situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu, in Pondicherry, unique for its blend of Indian and French culture.

Emanci Language Institute is a department of the non-profit NGO Emanci, which gives vocational training and professional integration to the young.

ELI offers a wide scope of language courses (English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Tamil, Hindi, and Japanese.) It is possible to follow a brief course of initiation in Tamil, the language spoken in Tamil Nadu, or Hindi, the national language used extensively in North India.
Special conversation classes are also held at the institute.

ELI has recently introduced short modules such as “Introduction to the culture of Pondicherry and South India”, which are filled with pictures, videos, live performances, and are presented by a native animator.
